What to Expect

After onboarding, you’ll join one or more client projects where you design, build and deploy modern data and AI solutions. You will work in hybrid teams with data scientists, AI engineers and strategy consultants to bring business cases to life.

You will be coached by senior Hyperson leaders and exposed to fast learning loops: hands-on engineering, real production deployments, and close collaboration with business stakeholders. You’ll work with the latest toolsets, from cloud-native data platforms to GenAI stacks including vector databases, RAG systems, prompt engineering and AI agent orchestration.

Over time, you can grow into multiple paths: senior data engineering expert, GenAI engineer, solution architect, project lead or even towards commercial and strategic roles depending on your ambitions.

Your Mission

As a Data & AI Engineer, you build the foundations that make advanced analytics and AI work reliably in the real world. You design data pipelines, build cloud-native architectures, deploy machine learning solutions, and increasingly, you help engineer the next generation of intelligent systems powered by GenAI.

More specifically, you will:

• Design, build and deploy scalable data pipelines and storage layers
• Create production-grade ETL/ELT workflows in Azure, AWS or Snowflake
• Engineer RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector databases and LLM integrations
• Build prompt workflows and contribute to AI agent architecture
• Deploy models and GenAI applications into production with proper CI/CD
• Run data & AI workloads in live environments with monitoring and alerting
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate models into performant code
• Implement DevOps / DataOps best practices across projects
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and clients
• Contribute to Hyperson’s AI engineering frameworks, including our Virtual Data Analyst

Required Skills

• Proven experience designing and shipping data engineering solutions
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Snowflake)
• Understanding of data modelling, orchestration and workflow tools
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering or RAG concepts
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD, versioning and DevOps practices
• Analytical mindset with basic understanding of data science concepts
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English
• EU work permit required

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Chroma)
• Knowledge of MLflow, Databricks, dbt or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or serverless architectures
• Experience building APIs and microservices
• Knowledge of French and/or Dutch
• Prior exposure to marketing, CRM or customer analytics
